The performance practice in South America has taken new lines of action which has being demonstrated with the production of different festivals, local conventions, seminaries, internet forums and, specifically, the First International Biennial of Performance Deformes 2006. This made possible a new way of making and a set of connections as a way of development.

This year Deformes 2008 pretends to open a new occasion to actualize action art and its different combination with expressions like visual arts, video, dance and theatre. With any kind of exclusion, the movement also wants to convoke many artists who sees the body language as a place of creation further the traditional methodologies.
