In a context where the art has been finished its active form, do not fight against real things, and the artists are polish correct and calm down the audience making them believe that they don’t have nothing to declare or do, it appears a group that do cares about the performance stuff.

Deformes faces this reality: “shows his formless body and face” and opposes those mechanics compositions where the spectator only has to continue an aristotelic thoughts. Its work goes on the exhibition of problems that born with elements like weight, worry, doubt, silence and mistakes as part of material condition. It doesn’t contain simple events, special effects or extraordinary intentions. More than that, it denies spectacles and the personal priorities of well mannered artists.

With a performance action that bellows to another art areas, it only emerges the thing happening resembling an act or a gest. This way the body doesn’t have the opportunity to going out of its physical or psychological condition. Our skin has no precision and our body has no right form. Both “deformes” skin and body make an action permanently confronted. However, “we’ll show our face as well” with our widely sight and courage, leaving out the passive form of the accepted and corrected artist. Our performance action wants to generate a politic discussion about the relation between art and society.

We’ll show the horror besides neo-liberalism with its synthetic and poor flavors, relations and cares. The shapeless face that we have is also the one that the savage man or the prehistoric caveman had. Being amorphous inside a world of syncretism represents an absurd that disagrees with the continuity and legitimacy established by the state –permanently vigilant-.

There are a lot of faces ands bodies that also live in resistance in the rest of Latin America, designated like ogres: origin communities, homeless, “okupas”, sexual minorities, adolescents, women, students, and undocumented people who can’t being accepted or have the rights to being listened. In a context of neoliberal globalism, only the recognized can be showing.

Like a cooperative, Deformes takes the geographic divisions and shows skins that define what is inside and what is outside. With the location of asymmetric forms a number of transformations begin.

The same form causes unformed things, renovates and finally goes on a skin or network that demonstrates our possibilities, impossibilities and our broke human condition.
